Four arrested over the murder of a 73-year-old in Raunds bailed

Four people arrested by detectives investigating the murder of 73-year-old David Morgan in Raunds have been bailed by police.

A 38-year-old Thrapston woman arrested by police on suspicion of murder on Thursday (9 October) was bailed on Friday (10 October), but further arrests were made Friday evening and Saturday (11 October).

On Sunday (12 October) a 52-year-old Kettering man, a 42-year-old Wellingborough man, a 42-year-old Kettering woman and a 42-year-old woman of no fixed abode, were all released on conditional bail pending further inquiries.

All four had been initially arrested on suspicion of murder and burglary.

Detective Chief Inspector Johnny Campbell, of the East Midlands Special Operations Unit’s Major Crime Team, said his investigation team were continuing to work around the clock on the case.

He said: “A large number of detectives and police officers, including colleagues from the East Midlands region, are still working at pace to identify potential evidential opportunities in what is a complex investigation."
