As England look to go into their final group game of the knockout stages of Euro 2024, we've been speaking to the local artist behind a new England song.

Stuart Pearce with Maddox Jones

Maddox Jones wrote "England Together" for the Qatar World Cup in 2022, but it's been given an Euros update with the help of former England Captain Stuart Pearce and the Kingsthorpe Jets Tom Cats youth team.

Maddox Jones has been a solo artist since the start of lockdown, and is a former member of the band The Departure and has been on tour with British artist Lemar.

Maddox tells us the idea came from a friend:

"Paul Rubens the ex president of Wealdstone FC was a fan of my music, and said he wanted to write football song for England, as there hasn't been a good one since Three Lions or World In Motion."

Maddox speaks to secondary schools about his journey in music and mental health.

Portion of proceeds of 'England Together' go to Head in the Game, which aims to use sport end mental health stigma.
