Fire on Northampton's Bridge Street scaled back

Teams were called to the well developed blaze at the site of the derelict Fat Cats building on Friday May 31st.

Seven fire engines were present at the height of the incident with crews from Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue working hard to stop it from spreading.

Officers say that dampening down is now taking place with more routes closed off being reopened.

People in the town centre are being advised to keep windows and doors shut if they can smell smoke.
