Crews have left the scene of a Northamptonshire barn fire

It broke out in King's Cliffe

Crews have left the scene of a large-scale barn fire on Church Walk, King's Cliffe.

On arrival (on Tuesday May 28th), 45 bales of hay were found well alight with smoke billowing into the air.

Firefighters remained on the scene until 9pm Wednesday dampening down any hotspots.

Investigation Officers from Northamptonshire Fire & Rescue will attend the scene to try to determine the cause of the blaze.

Meantime, the fire service have thanked residents for their patience whilst teams dealt with the incident. At the height of the fire, local people were advised to keep doors and windows closed.
