Corby Town have handed a 13-year-old an indefinite ban after trouble during Saturday's game against Belper.

The club said objects were thrown onto the pitch and a number of supporters were involved in incidents of disorder.

In a statement, the club said: "An object thrown late in the match was reported to match officials. The individual responsible, a 13-year-old supporter, has been identified and has received an indefinite ban from attending Corby Town fixtures.

"Such behaviour is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated under any circumstances."

A separate incident involving a coin being thrown from a stand containing both home and away supporters is also being investigated.

The club added: "Any action that endangers players, officials, or staff is a serious breach of conduct and undermines the safety of the game.

"The Club urges anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward."

An altercation between supporters happened after the match, with a young supporter requiring hospital treatment.

Corby Town said it was "assisting enquiries" into the incident.
