Cransley Hospice in Kettering is helping people recycle their Christmas trees as part of its annual community Christmas Tree Recycle campaign.

Volunteers will be collecting real trees from homes in selected areas between 9 and 11 January 2026.

Rebecca Cave from the hospice said donating trees can not only help the environment but also raises vital funds for hospice care. She said:

“If you have a real tree and wish to donate it, one of our volunteers will come and collect it. We then have the trees chipped and repurposed to support local community projects.”

The hospice says that by donating pre-loved Christmas trees, the community can help provide compassionate care for patients and families facing life-limiting illness.

Cave added: “Last year, we collected around 1,500 trees, and the community helped us raise £24,000 for the hospice, which is amazing.”

The hospice says it is proud to donate 10% of proceeds to the Northants 4×4 Emergency Response Team, whose support makes the campaign possible.

Tree collection must be booked by 23:59 on Sunday 4 January 2026, so volunteers can organise pick-up routes.
