Charity responds after Northamptonshire water tragedy
Ronalds Abele from Wellingborough died last weekend
Northamptonshire Police described the death of the 17 year old, who got into difficulty in the water at the Embankment on Friday May 10th as "tragic".
He was airlifted to hospital where he was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.
Matt Croxall has been talking to us, from the Royal Life Saving Society:
"Younger boys are a particularly at risk age group because they're potentially more risk averse. We sadly see incidents each summer during the warmer weather - jumping into unknown waters and getting into trouble.
"It's unfortunately another extremely sad preventable death."
The organisation say rescue equipment always needs to be "as accessible as possible".
