Police officers are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist sustained serious injuries after being pushed off his bike in Northampton.

Between 11.45pm on Wednesday, October 23rd and 12.15am on Thursday, October 24th, a man in his 40s was cycling along the canal path, near the Far Cotton railway viaduct, when he rode past two men.

One of the men pushed him, causing him to fall to the ground and breaking his collar bone and dislocating his shoulder.

The offenders, who walked off over the bridge towards Far Cotton, were white men, aged 20 to 35 years old. One wore a woolly hat and the other had a glass bottle.

Officers are appealing for witnesses, and they would like to hear from anyone who may have captured two men fitting the description walking from the bridge towards Far Cotton on dash-cam footage, between the stated times.
