Woman's body found in South Shields park
This is an update after a body was found in a pond in South Shields. Police were called around 8am on Sunday morning (November 20) over concerns a body was in a pond in Temple Memorial Park. Emergency services attended and the body of a woman was recovered. The woman has now been identified. Enquiries have been carried out and there is not believed to be any third party involvement in the death and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
