WATCH: CCTV footage of dramatic Horden bank robbery released
The footage shows masked men entering the TSB bank on Blackhills Road armed with weapons and wearing all black.
Police have released CCTV footage of the moment masked robbers raided a bank in Horden yesterday.
It happened at a TSB bank on Blackhills Road at around 10:45am yesterday morning, when three men armed with what are believed to be crowbars and a wooden stick demanded cash.
Two female members of staff were injured during the incident and treated for minor injuries by ambulance crews at the scene. Two female members of the public were also injured but did not require treatment.
The men escaped with a quantity of cash.
Inspector Steve Thubron said “Our investigation is very much ongoing and officers are working tirelessly to bring those responsible to justice.
“Hours of CCTV footage are currently being analysed and interviews are being carried out by a dedicated team of detectives.
“I am hopeful the CCTV images we have released will generate new information from the public and I would urge people to contact police if they feel they can help.”
