Wallsend bus driver racially abused on Valentines Day.
It was reported that a group of up to ten teenagers, thought to be between the ages of 11 and 15, attempted to board the Number 12 bus near Wallsend Metro Station, on Station Road, which was travelling to Walker.
When it became clear they were not in receipt of valid tickets, the driver of the bus challenged the individuals who then racially abused him.
The victim was left distressed by the incident and contacted police.
Enquiries are ongoing and as part of their investigation, officers have identified two individuals they would like to speak to.
One individual is described as a white male, of medium build, with short, dark brown or black hair styled in a centre parting. He is thought to be between the ages of 12 and 15.
He was wearing a black hooded puffer jacket with a white logo on the left upper chest area.
Another individual is described as a white male and of small build. He was wearing a black hooded puffer jacket with the hood up. He is thought to be between the ages of 11 and 14.
They were in the area at the time and could have valuable information which may assist the investigation.
