Family-friendly brunch event to launch this bank holiday weekend
The popular Ouseburn bar and cafe, Under The Bridge, is launching its first Kids Brunch Event this bank holiday weekend, offering up a morning of live entertainment, tasty food and interactive kids activities.
The family-friendly event will take place on the 29th and 30th May from 9am until 11am.
Complete with a free breakfast for kids, delicious drinks and live entertainment, the event is the first family-friendly event to be hosted by the quirky Ouseburn venue which opened last summer.
Entertainment will be provided by Let’s Party Events North East, a talented troupe of professionally trained singers and dancers who have earned a reputation for their eclectic live performances which they perform in venues across the region and further afield.
Kids will be invited to dance and sing-a-long with characters from ‘The Greatest Showman’ who will be performing well-known Disney classics along with numbers from the hit movie in full costume.
Little ones will have the chance to meet some of their favourite characters before taking part in a fun and interactive quiz for the entire family to enjoy.
Delicious food will be available with the crew serving up cooked breakfasts, pastries, muffins and Belgian waffles for kids.
Coffee will be provided from the renowned Tynemouth Coffee Co and alcohol will be served by the venue from 10 am alongside hot and cold soft drinks.
A kid’s activity pack and a free pick ‘n’ mix pack will also be issued on arrival and a balloon man will be on hand for an event that organisers are expecting to be a sell-out.
“The event is for children and adults to enjoy together,” said Olivia Shaftoe, Director of Let’s Party Events North East.
“We are passionate about bringing fun, local events to the North East and can't wait for families to be able to enjoy making memories together after too long in lockdown!”
Despite opening during the pandemic, Under The Bridge has had a successful year, already establishing itself as one of the go-to venues in Ouseburn, Newcastle’s independent and creative hub.
Kids Brunch organiser Siobhan Noone, added: “We have had a really successful reopening. Every weekend has been completely sold out in advance, we have been really busy throughout the week and we have had so many new customers.
“We’re expecting this to be a super popular event so we recommend getting your tickets soon to avoid disappointment.”
Under The Bridge intends to continue hosting family-friendly mornings during the summer holidays with plans in the works for more Kids Brunch events and arts and crafts mornings.
The first Kids Brunch events will take place from 9-11am on the 29th and 30th May. Tickets are priced at £30 per table (up to 6 people) which includes live entertainment and a free breakfast for kids.
