Tuxedo Royale destroyed in fire
"The boat" moved from the Tyne to the Tees in 2009

A massive blaze has destroyed the former floating nightclub the Tuxedo Royale.
The popular nightspot is actually now located on the River Tees in Middlesbrough but used to be moored on the River Tyne under the Tyne Bridge.
The fire broke out at about 7.30pm on Thursday.
Nobody was injured in the blaze and it was brought under control at about 10pm.
The boat was moved in 2009 and earlier this year Middlesbrough council confirmed they'd start scrapping it to make way for redevelopments in the area.
