Tributes paid to murdered Cramlington teenager
19 year old Owen Kerry died following an attack in the town's Working Men's club on Christmas Eve.
Two friends of the teenager - murdered in Cramlington on Christmas Eve - have been paying tribute to him.
They've been speaking to us after 19 year old Owen Kerry died following an attack in the town's Working Men's club.
They've now raised nearly 4 thousand pounds for his family through a crowdfunding page -
And Hayden Brown told us coming to terms with the loss is hard.
“It’s Christmas time and we haven’t had a Christmas, we’ve had a horrible indescribable time.
“You’ve got to remember the good times, we’ve got nothing else, our pal’s been taken. He was one of a kind.”
Sammi’s known Owen since they were little, she told us why it was important to start the fund-raising page.
“He was just one of those people everybody loved. He was a very popular lad- just so cheeky.
“There’s no words to say how hurtful it is to have lost him- no-one can ever take that pain away.”
A couple in their 30s have been charged on suspicion of murder - and are due in court in Newcastle.
