The House of Lords are going to vote on the controversial ‘three parent babies’ law.
It is where the DNA of three people is used to prevent fatal genetic diseases being passed on to babies and has been developed by scientists at Newcastle University.
If the House of Lords vote for it, then the UK would be the first country to legalise it.
Campaigners say it could lead to designer babies and 50 MEPs have written to David Cameron asking him to remove the legislation.
North East MEP Jude Kirton-Darling disagrees though, as long as the right ethical framework is used.
