Seafront Fish and Ships for Tynemouth

Tynemouth entrepreneur Adam Riley is asking the public to contribute towards a new fish restaurant by the seafront made from an old shipping container

A Tynemouth restaurant owner's hoping YOU can help fund an ambitious fish bar project.

Adam Riley, who's behind Riley's Fish Shack at King Edwards Bay, wants to raise over 20 thousand pound to create a new fish bar and grill using shipping containers.

It'll be a semi-permanent base for the business on the coast called the 'Tackle Box'.

Adam started Riley's Fish Shack in 2012 when he started grilling fish on an empty space by the beach.

Things have grown considerably since then and he's told us there are three potential locations for the shipping container restaurant and bar.

People who back the project can get rewards ranging from tshirts and free wraps to free food for life, depending on how much they contribute.

We went to see how progress on the build is going and Adam showed us how it'll all work when it's finished.
