Prince Charles visits Nissan in Sunderland.

He's been to see the electric cars come off the production line and spoken with staff and apprentices at Nissan Global Training Centre.

The Prince of Wales also meet boxer Amir Khan in Sunderland as part of the Prince's Step Up To Serve campaign which aims to increase the number of young people involved in volunteering.

The Prince of Wales has been learning about the production of electric vehicles at the Nissan UK Car Plant in Sunderland. Here is the Nissan LEAF electric car - the best-selling electric vehicle in history.

Here the prince is meeting pupils from Venerable Bede, Sunderland who're part of the Industrial Cadets, a programme inspired by HRH.

Children from Gillis Lane Primary School have also been taking part in education activities during the visit.

Nissan has trained more than 1,000 apprenticeships since the plant opened and hosts a graduate and university placement scheme for more than 100 students each year.
