Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident of alleged dangerous driving in Wallsend

At around 2.40pm on Saturday, May 20, police received a report of a burgundy/red Renault Clio being driven dangerously. The vehicle then crashed on Mullen Road, near to Nobles Convenience Store, before colliding with another car. The two people in the vehicle then left the scene on foot.

Police would like to find the driver and passenger of the car, believed to be two males. The driver is described as around 5'8" tall, aged around 17-22, with black hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt, grey hooded top and tracksuit bottoms. The other offender is desribed as being around 10-15 years old, with dark hair also wearing a white t-shirt and jogging bottoms.

Enquiries are on-going to trace the offenders and officers are asking anyone with information to contact them on 101 quoting reference 584 200517.
