OAP ran over in South Shields
Police are appealing for witnesses after an 81-year-old man was knocked over by a car in South Tyneside. The incident happened at 5.20pm on Monday November 21. The man got off a bus on Perth Avenue between Hobart Avenue and Queensland Avenue in South Shields and crossed the road. As he crossed the road he was struck by a Silver Skoda Octavia taxi. The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Officers are carrying out enquiries and appealing for witnesses.
