Doing the North East Proud!

Will you help decide Britain's hottest beer of 2015?

You can vote via Twitter!

Did you ever read about some award handed out for a "Champion Beer" or "Ale of the Year" and think: "why, how, who - what!?".

These awards, whilst judged by experts, will always be biased towards which beers happened to enter and suffer from a limited range of taste preferences.

Well, that's been changed!

Britain's 100 Hottest Beers 2015 is a public vote via Twitter!

And currently our own local legends Wylam Brewery are in the lead!

How it works

The vote is run via Twitter. You need to follow this template so that we can collate all the votes correctly.

Beer drinkers and breweries alike can vote, but there are rules.

• One vote per beer per beer drinker, who may vote for up to three beers.

• Breweries are encouraged to only vote for one of their beers and a maximum of two (see guidelines below).

• The beers must have been produced in Britain by a British brewery in 2015 (therefore, multi-national brewers and their subsequent brands are excluded).

• If there's a tie, then a brewery's vote will be discounted. If there's still a tie (i.e. both breweries voted) then the rank is shared.

Guidelines: Breweries can vote twice, once for a core range beer and once for special release beers. If you don't have special releases, just stick to one from your core range.

The vote is open until July 24th 2015 and the table will be updated regularly to show which beers are currently in the running and their position. Want to add your fave beer? Just vote and we'll do the rest...
