North East Christmas Shoppers Are The 'Most Generous'

When is comes to Christmas shopping, the North East is the most generous spending almost £400 each on Christmas gifts.

On average 16% more than the typical national spend of £333.

New research claims most of us are now half way through our Christmas shop - but a small minority will leave it ‘til Christmas Eve.

The figures also say those in Yorkshire and the Humber spend the least amount of money on gifts.

The biggest proportion of this spend will go on hi tech gadgets, such as smartphones, tablets and computer gaming equipment.
