North East business consultancy Junction Point unveils ambitious growth and expansion plans
North East not for profit and purpose-led businesses were given a welcome shot in the arm today with the news that the pioneering business consultancy Junction Point is to expand its operations in the region.
The agency has now confirmed the arrival of six new recruits to fulfill its ambitious growth plans, extending its team from a one-woman band to a six strong business juggernaut.
The growth of the team has been driven by increased demand for quality business support for grassroots organisations across the region.
Established in 2018, by Kate Duffy, Junction Point has already worked with over 40 organisations in the past 12 months and is set to work with an additional 30 by Christmas through its ‘Keep Going Keep Growing’ fully funded project in Newcastle.
Through bite-size master classes and consultancy, participants can unlock their next level of development regardless of the focus being surviving or thriving.
With a keen eye on the long term, Junction Point aims to see Newcastle upon Tyne added to the list of Social Enterprise hotspots across the UK with Social Enterprise UK.
The organisation is currently looking for partners to support this campaign including Universities, Civil Servants and local businesses.
As BIPC City Life Experts in Residents, organisations across Newcastle can also access 12-hours funded consultancy with the Junction Point team to use however they like.
Junction Point Managing Director, Kate Duffy, explains: “We already have such an active business support infrastructure across the North East, and we’re not wanting to replace that. We see our role as delivering high quality specialist services but also signposting and working in partnership with existing networks”.
“Our aim is to help dreamers to become doers and doers to do it even better. This means we have something for everyone no matter the stage of their journey”
Next month, Newcastle residents will have the opportunity to access ‘Passion to Paycheque;’ an entry-level programme for people wanting to explore starting their own purpose-led business.
Led by the inspirational public speaker and female entrepreneur Lizzy Hodcroft, this project will see over 200 people supported to explore their ideas putting passion and lived experience at the heart of the new enterprise generation.
Alongside this programme, Junction Point will be celebrating local community change-makers and those people who have gone above and beyond to make someone else’s life that bit better despite the challenges of the past year. With local businesses already donating prizes such as a meal for two at Peace and Loaf Jesmond, and a mixed beer gift set from Allendale Brewery, this competition is set to not only celebrate community heroes but also the amazing enterprises across the North East.
“After such a challenging year, it’s so exciting to be celebrating all the amazing people and businesses that make the North East so special. The competition will close and be drawn on Friday 22nd October as part of ‘One World’ week celebrations”, adds Lizzy Hodcroft, Junction Point Project Manager.
