#Newcastle - Teen Fights For Life After Being Hit By Car
Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision between a pedestrian and a car in Newcastle.
It happened on Friday, August 21, at approximately 9.30pm at Cowgate, at the back of Ladbrokes and Domino's Pizza, on the southbound carriageway towards the city.
The pedestrian, a 15-year-old girl, has been taken by ambulance to the Royal Victoria Hospital with serious injuries, which are believed to be life threatening.
The Central Motorway East is closed in both directions between Cowgate Roundabout and Claremont Road, while the scene of the collision is being investigated by officers.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the collision is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101 ext 69191 quoting log number 1252 of 21/08/15
