Newcastle Rape: CCTV Image Released
Police have released this image in connection with a rape.
Police investigating a rape in Newcastle have released this image of a man they want to speak to.
A 21-year-old woman was allegedly attacked in a room at a hotel within the city centre on 22nd December.
She left the hotel at around 5.30am that morning.
Northumbria Police Detective Sergeant Donna Rose said: "This is an extremely serious offence and it's important we establish what has happened. We've identified a man in an image who may be able to help with the investigation and I'd urge anyone who recognises him to get in touch. "We have specialist officers working with the victim to offer her the support she requires at this time." Anyone who recognises the man, who had dreadlocked hair, or has any information about the incident is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101 ext 69191 quoting reference or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
