Two people have been arrested after homes had to be evacuated.
Two people have been arrested after homes had to be evacuated.
Police searched a house in Ouston Street in Newcastle on Tuesday (22nd January) and found potentially suspicious items.
It meant that a small number of nearby homes were evacuated and a cordon was put in place.
Bomb disposal teams said the items were not suspicious.
A 31-year-old man and a woman in her thirties have been arrested.
