Writer Will Scott teamed up with Steve Wraith who has helped publish the book, to interview over 30 players about the halcyon era.
The book includes interviews with Kevin Keegan, Andy Cole, Peter Beardsley, Les Ferdinand, Marc Hottiger, Phillipe Albert and the likes of Sir John Hall and the late Malcolm Dix.
