Motorcyclist in critical condition after crash in Durham
The rider was taken to the RVI Major Trauma unit
A crash involving a motorbike and a car in County Durham has left one person in hospital in a critical condition.
Durham Constabulary said they were dealing with a serious collision on Howden Bank in Lanchester on Saturday afternoon.
Police said the motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A NEAS spokesperson said:
"We received a call to 999 at 15:32 yesterday afternoon to reports of a road traffic incident involving a motorbike and a car on a junction of the A6076 at Maiden Law in Lanchester, Durham.
"An off duty nurse was at the scene. We sent a clinical team leader, the air ambulance, a rapid response paramedic, a specialist paramedic and an emergency ambulance crew.
"We took one patient to the RVI major trauma unit in a critical condition
