As the famous London Fashion week gets started, 19-year-old Vicky Turner is backing a campaign to ban agencies from hiring excessively thin models.
Earlier this year France made a law that agencies could be fined or even jailed for using a model with a BMI lower than 18.
Eating disorder hospital admissions in the North East remain one of the highest in the country.
Vicky said: "They are pouring out this image of these tiny people to us and that you have to be so thin.
"I think if this ban was put in place then we would find that a lot more girls would just accept who they are and it is all about being comfortable in yourself."
