We’ve met with a blind Jack Russell and his very own guide dog.

Best friends Glenn and Buzz were rescued from the streets in Hartlepool four weeks ago.

The team at East Durham Stray Aid quickly realised that the pooches are inseparable. Buzz actually guides Glenn around to his bed or towards food and stops him from banging into things while inside.

The charity, which rehomes around 1200 dogs a year, have been overwhelmed by worldwide publicity after they decided to share the dog’s story.

They estimate both dogs to be between nine and 10 years old, and are currently looking for a loving home for the pair to live together.

Karen Maughan, from Stray Aid, said:

“They do work well together and Glenn’s confidence does come from Buzz”

“We walk them together. That’s what we learnt about them, they need to be a team and walk together and home together.”

“I’ve never seen anything like this before and it just so overwhelming and so lovely to see a relationship like this.”
