Newcastle city centre venue NX has confirmed that it will host a huge Euros fanzone this Sunday after England learned that they will play Slovakia in the crunch final 16 game.

The event, hosted by The Magpie Channel’s Matty Renton, will welcome Newcastle Utd icon Micky Quinn as special guest, live music from Tyneside indie rock ‘n rollers The Avelons - fresh from their performance at Isle of Wight Festival - and a rousing live rendition of the national anthem before the game delivered by the soul powerhouse that is Beth Macari.

Hotly tipped as the best England squad since the Golden Generation, it’s hoped that Gareth Southgate’s team can put their frustrating start behind them and go all out for the nation’s first major honours since '66 with a favourable route to the final ahead.

Notion Live Events & NX are excited to announce that NUFC legend Micky Quinn as its on-stage guest. Quinn, known for his prolific goal-scoring and charismatic presence during his time at Newcastle United, will appear at the first game of the knockout stages alongside popular NUFC vlogger, Matty Renton from The Magpie Channel.

Quinn's tenure with The Magpies left an indelible mark, with his knack for finding the back of the net making him a fan favourite. His return to Newcastle, a city that holds him in high regard, promises to be a thrilling highlight for fans attending the event and the feeling is clearly mutual:

“It’s fantastic to be part of this incredible event at NX Newcastle,” says Quinn. “The atmosphere here in Newcastle is always electric, and I can’t wait to see the fans come together to support England.
