Three arrested after Saturday afternoon attack

Three men have been arrested after a stabbing in Gateshead.
Shortly before 3pm on Saturday afternoon, police received a report that a man had been found on Falla Park Road in Felling with injuries consistent with a stabbing.
He was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries where he currently remains in a critical condition.
Officers have arrested three men, aged 26, 50 and 52, in connection with the incident and they remain in police custody at this time.
An investigation has been launched and officers remain in the area as they continue to carry out enquiries.
