Man has part of finger bitten off in Newcastle
Police are appealing for information after an assault in Newcastle city centre. Around 11:10pm on Saturday, December 10, there was a fight between two men inside Cosy Joe's bar in the Groat Market. A third man tried to intervene and break up the fight however he was assaulted by one of the men, being punched in the face and having the tip of his finger bitten off. He attended hospital for treatment to try and reattach the section of finger. Enquiries are ongoing into the assault and anyone who was in the bar at the time and who has any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 1380 10/12/16.
