Man found dead in Chester-Le-Street named by police

The death of 37-year-old Michal Jarzynka has been linked to a fall.

A man found dead in Chester-le-Street has been named by police.

Officers were called to an alleyway off Poplar Street just after 6.30am yesterday (28/11) following reports of a person lying injured in the street.

Police and the ambulance service attended but sadly the man was declared dead at the scene, he’s now been identified as 37-year-old Michal Jarzynka and his next of kin have been informed.

Following the results of a post-mortem that took place last night and police enquiries the death is known not to be suspicious and the circumstances surrounding the death are linked to a fall.
