Man Dies After Being Hit By Metro

A man's died after being hit by a Metro train last night. Northumbria Police have confirmed that a male was killed, but are not revealing any other information at this station. We understand it happened close to Cullercoats station around 7.45pm on Saturday evening, causing some services to be suspended for a time. All lines are running as normal for Sunday.
