Man dies after York collision between car and bus on

A man has died after a collision between a car and double decker bus on the B1224 Wetherby Road.

The incident involved a white Tesla Model 3 car and a blue and white double decker bus.

A 31 year old passenger in the car, from the Newcastle area, died at the scene, with the driver a 32-year-old man from the Teesside area taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The bus driver and three other passengers in the Tesla were treated at hospital for minor injuries.

North Yorkshire police said:

"Witnesses to the collision or anyone with relevant dashcam footage are urged to come forward without delay if they have not done so already.

We also want to hear from anyone who recalls seeing either the white Tesla car or the blue and white double decker bus in the lead up to the incident."
