Man Charged Over Elswick Murders
A 28-year-old man has been charged with murder, after the death of a married couple.
64-year-old Eric Ruddy and his wife 54-year-old Carol died at their home in Elswick on Friday (12th December).
Martin Ruddy has been charged with murder, police haven’t confirmed the relationship between him and the couple.
Police were called Bentinck Street at 10.30pm on Friday.
The couple had serious injuries.
