Man Charged With Attempted Murder in Byker

Police have charged a man in connection with a shooting in Byker. On Saturday, May 30, a 32-year-old man was shot inside an address in Scarborough Road. John Mario Thompson, 29, of no fixed abode has been charged with attempted murder. He has been remanded in custody to appear at Newcastle Magistrates Court on Saturday, July 25.
