Man arrested in connection with Gateshead death
18 year old found at an address in Sunniside
This is an update in relation to the death of an 18-year old man who was found unconscious at an address at Plenmellar Place, Sunniside, Gateshead early yesterday morning (Sunday, 14 August). Officers are continuing to investigate how the man died and at this time his death is being treated as unexplained. A 20- year old man has been arrested in connection with the death and is currently in custody helping police with enquiries. Extra officers will remain in the area to provide reassurance to local residents and anyone who has seen anything or knows any information is asked to contact the police on 101 quoting reference number 298 14/08/16
