Police investigating the death of a Durham University student say they anticipate enquiries to last 'a number of months'.
Twenty-year-old Olivia Burt suffered fatal head injuries outside Missoula last month.
Detective Superintendent Kevin Weir, who is leading the investigation, said:
"One month on from the tragic incident in which Olivia lost her life, our thoughts remain with her friends and family during what has been an unimaginably difficult time.
"Olivia was enjoying a night out with friends when she tragically lost her life on the evening of Wednesday, February 7th, outside Missoula nightclub in Durham.
"Durham Constabulary and Durham County Council are carrying out a joint investigation to determine what happened to her.
"That investigation remains ongoing and we are following a number of lines of enquiry. It is an extensive investigation, and one which we anticipate lasting a number of months."
Police say they have interviewed around 50 people who were out in the Walkergate area on the night that Olivia died, including bar staff, door staff and people queuing to get into Missoula nightclub.
Officers have also examined CCTV footage from the scene, showing the moments leading up to the incident.
DSI Wear added: "We know that Olivia died after suffering fatal head injuries. Despite the efforts of door staff, the ambulance service and police officers to revive Olivia, she was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
"We would like to thank everyone who has come forward with information in the days and weeks following the incident.
"If anyone has any information that they think may help the investigation but hasn’t yet spoken to us, please contact us on 101.”
