Newcastle - Icy conditions close major route.

The Coast Road (A1058) is currently closed in both directions as black ice has caused several RTCs.
Emergency services are at the scene.
The temp at that stretch has dipped to -3°C
The Met Office have a warning in place for icy conditions for the entire North East today so please take care if you're out an about.
