The big day has arrived - The Great North Run 2024 is here!
Olympic legend Kieran Reilly, from Gateshead, won Silver in Paris just a few weeks ago, and now he'll be ready to start the race at the Town Moor.
Timings for the day:
10:25 – Elite Wheelchair start
10:30 – Elite Women start
10:32 – Visually impaired runners start
10:55 – Elite Men and public/mass runners start
As we reported earlier this summer, there will be no flypast from the Red Arrows this year, as there has been in previous years.
Well the starting gun has been fired, and around 60 000 runners are now making their way to South Shields.
