Four arrested after Gateshead stabbing
Four men have been arrested after an assault in Gateshead. At 6:34am on Tuesday, November 1, police received a report that a man had been stabbed at an address in Eastbourne Avenue. Police attended and located a man near Saltwell Park with a stab wound to his back. He was taken to hospital for treatment and is in a stable condition. Four men, aged 20/22/24/24, were arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in police custody. A section of path near to Eastbourne Avenue is cordoned off to allow for enquiries to be carried out.
