Five people arrested after man stabbed in 'disturbance' in Consett

Two people have been taken to hospital after an incident in Consett.
Emergency services were called to Front Street at around 2.20am, following reports of a disturbance.
North East Ambulance Service say they dispatched two double crewed ambulances and requested support from the Great North Air Ambulance response car.
Two patients were taken to Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.
Durham Police say one man, in his 30s, got a stab wound to his chest and was taken to hospital where he remains with what is not believed to be a life threatening injury.
A second man, also in his 30s, received hospital treatment for a facial injury.
Three men and two women have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in police custody.
An investigation has been launched and anyone with any information is asked to call Durham Constabulary on 101, quoting incident reference 41 of December 27.
