Thousands of pounds expected to be raised in Gosforth

Thousands of pounds worth of wedding dresses have been donated by Y.A.P Wedding Boutique in Newcastle to raise money for cancer research.

Shoppers will be able to buy these designer dresses for a fraction of the price at the Gosforth branch of ‘Cancer Research UK’.

Joanne Stott owner of the boutique from Birtley, knows only too well the devastating impact losing family and friends to the disease.

Manager, Sharon Corke at the Gosforth charity shop said:

  • "We can’t thank Joanne enough for the donation of these dresses. I’m sure we’re going to raise lots of money to fund life-saving research"*

People will be able to enjoy red carpet treatment with a glass of Prosecco on arrival.

Seamstresses will be on hand to offer alterations on dresses and advice on alterations.

Guests will be able to get their hands on contact details for florists and photographers.

The event will be held at 6pm on Wednesday 14th January at the Gosforth charity shop.
