Double Murder in Redcar
Man arrested on suspicion of two murders.
Police received a report that a woman had been seriously injured at 8.45pm on the evening of Wednesday 23rd March at an address on Mapleton Crescent, Redcar.
At 8.52pm, a second report was received from a member of the public reporting that a woman was being violently assaulted on Byland Close.
Both women had suffered serious injuries and sadly both have died.
A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of two counts of murder a short time after the incidents. The man is currently in police custody.
