Midfielder Cabral left the club by mutual consent.
Scott Harrison joined Hartlepool United on a permanent deal.
Charis Mavrias has gone on loan to Panathinaikos until the end of the season.
Newcastle:
Davide Santon joined Inter Milan on loan, with an option to buy at the end of the season.
They also agreed loan deals for five players to join Rangers until the end of the season. Gael Bigirimana, Shane Ferguson, Kevin Mbabu, Remie Streete and Haris Vuckic.
