Consett Group Tackling Stress And Anxiety In Schools

Published 10th Sep 2015

A Consett group is helping children in school suffering from stress, low self-esteem and anxiety.

The Living Mindfully In Schools Programme is operating in secondary schools across County Durham.

Gary Heads is Managing Director of the group and told Metro Radio young people are in desperate need of support. "Times are changing so quickly, you have so many different things that can impact on well-being of children in school. The pressure of exams at an early age, we're giving them that resilience to cope with the anxiety and panic attacks and stress."

The group want to roll out the course across schools all over the country as well as the rest of the North East.
