Officers investigating a series of assaults inside a Newcastle nightclub have released the image of a man they would like to speak to.

At about 12.30am on July 25, police received a report of a disturbance at Powerhouse on Westmorland Road.

It was reported that two offenders had got into a disagreement with a group inside the club and had proceeded to assault them.

Five people – three women and two men – suffered a range of injuries as a result of the attack.

Enquiries are ongoing into the incidents, and police have now identified a man who they would like to trace.

The man, who has a distinctive neck tattoo, was seen in the club at the time of the offence and may have information that can assist officers with their investigation.

The man, or anyone who recognises him, is asked to contact police via the ‘Tell Us Something’ page of their website or by calling 101 quoting log 47 250721.
