A Newcastle man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Tipu Sultan in South Shields.
A Newcastle man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Tipu Sultan in South Shields.
The 35-year-old is being held on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.
32-year-old Tipu, from Sunderland, was shot dead at the back of Herbs n Spice takeaway in Lake Avenue on Tuesday (7th April).
Police say the investigation into the murder is ongoing.
