NUFC Matters launched in 2020 during lockdown on Youtube by host Steve Wraith has donated £15000 to Newcastle Foodbank and almost £5000 to Dementia matters over the last four years.

Over the last four years the podcasts viewers have supported both charities in a variety of ways. They have donated via the channel as well as attending events with a variety of former Newcastle United players.

Steve is delighted with the total raised. " We started the podcast to help older fans get through lockdown and we were blown away by the interest and support. We were made aware of how charities such as Newcastle Foodbank were struggling and we decided to ask our viewers for help. The generosity of the geordie public shone through once again."

Thank you letter

Former Newcastle player Joe Allon who hosts his show on the NUFC Matters 'Big Up' platform is delighted that the podcast chose 'Dementia Matters' to donate to.

"Dementia affected both of my parents and in my ambassadorial role i'm always looking for ways to raise money and awareness. The NUFC Matters donations have been vital for the charity and have helped a lot of local families."

Dementia Matters are holding a special night at The Cluny on January 4th with North East Band The Longsands headlining with support from Lilac Lane and the Chris Norris Band. Tickets are £15 in advance from www.newcastlelegends.com
